Week 1 Challenges - Run & Ride for Pieta

Week 1 has arrived and here are the challenges! Run and Ride for Pieta is Triathlon Ireland's nationwide duathlon campaign, supported by our official partner BMW and designed to kick-off the outdoor summer season.

We're easing you in this week with a three kilometre run, a five kilometre bike and then a three kilometre run. They don't have to be done on the same day but the sessions must be completed in the correct order! You don't need any fancy gear to get going, a pair of runners, a helmet and any kind of bike.

For the expert challenge this week - go out and do a sprint distance duathlon. Get your transition zone set up in the garden, get your gear on and off you go!

All Run and Riders are reminded to respect the government’s social distancing rules in spirit and in letter.

  • Maintain social distancing.
  • Complete the runs and rides solo.
  • Be courteous to other pedestrians when running.
  • Stay within your designated area.
  • Respect the rules of the roads.

Each time you do a challenge, you log it there and you can see who else is on the board! This week's challenges need to be logged by Sunday, 14th June.

Run and Ride for Pieta is completely free of charge but we do ask that you donate a small fee - or better still fundraise - for the Pieta House Charity, which carries out important work in the areas of mental health and suicide prevention.
