Five of the team; Ger Gilroy, Adrian Barry, Thom Malone, Enda Coll and Nathan Murphy, took on their challenge in a very windy Phoenix Park. Tommy Rooney and Shane Hannon completed their duathlons in Clare and Monaghan respectively - where the conditions also posed a challenge! See how they got on in their review below. In summarising his experience, Off the Ball's Ger Gilroy said;"The overall sense of wellbeing and achievement that you get from being able to do something that you just didn't think you were going to be able to do at any point, and then to actually do it, is amazing""All in all the type of thing you don't think you're going to be able to do when someone says you're going to have to run, cycle and then run again. And you can't do it the first time you try it but over a period of time, and then eventually on the day, you suddenly find the ability to do it."FundraisingThanks to everybody who has donated to the Run and Ride JustGiving page - we are almost at the €4,500 mark now! One hundred percent of this will go to Pieta House, Triathlon Ireland's and BMW Ireland's official charity partner. If you would like to donate, head to the JustGiving page, it only takes a minute!
