Paratriathletes on the Podium at Sarasota ITU Paratriathlon World Cup Ireland claim two second places at ITU World Cup RaceIrish paratriathletes Tojo Lazzari and Aidan McGlynn travelled to Sarasota, Florida for the 2017 Paratriathlon World Cup. The two had super races, with each placing second in their categories.This was the first time for Sarasota to host a round of the World Cup and it was not without its challenges. The swim section of the race was cancelled due to over-forming amounts of green algae in the water and so the race was run in Duathlon format. Conditions on the day of the race were challenging with high temperatures and humidity.Mcglynn second in pts5 raceAidan McGlynn had the best result of his season with second place in the PTS5 race. The 37 year old finished just over three minutes behind winner Jose Abraham Estrada Sierra from Mexico in a time of 1:08:39.Tojo lazzari claims second place in pts4In the PTS4 category, Tojo Lazzari took second place. Lazzari has had a strong 2017 season, also taking third place in the ITU Grand Final in Rotterdam just three weeks ago. Tojo finished the Duathlon course in a time of 1:06:47, just over a minute and a half behind winner Oliver Dreier from Austria.Congratulations to both athletes on their outstanding results!
