We were delighted to run our first Level 2 pilot Coaching course in Nov and Dec 2011.
This was a pilot course and as part of our Coaching Ireland sanctioning process, our national tutors were required to be assessed as they deliver this course so that they can deliver Level 2 courses on a nationwide basis. A number of 2012 courses will be run in each province Ulster, Connaught, Munster and Leinster to facilitate the advancement of our Level 1 coaches across the country.
There were a limited number of spaces available on the initial pilot course, these places were first offered to Level 1 coaches who trained in 2006 and any remaining spaces were then offered to those who completed Level 1 courses in 2010/11.
The course took place in Limerick University over 2 weekends on 26th/27th Nov & 10th/11th Dec.
If you wish to express an interest in attending a course in the furture, you must be available to attend BOTH weekends, if you cannot attend both you will be deferred to a course taking place at a later date. Please email coaching@triathlonireland.com to register interest.
You MUST also be a Triathlon Ireland affiliated club member to attend the Level 2 Coaching Course.
2012 Coaching Plan
LEVEL 1: We are delighted to announce 4 newly qualified Coaching Ireland Tutors who will begin delivering Level 1 courses in the first quarter of 2012. The dates will be confirmed in December. If you have any fellow club members or friends interested in pursuing this highly rewarding field please have them contact coaching@triathlonireland.com to register interest in the course and be notified of the course details.
LEVEL 2: 2012 will see 5 Coaching Ireland Tutors qualified to deliver this course in the 4 corners of the country. We will announce the dates as theya re confirmed hope to be running a minimum of 2 Level 2 courses in the first quarter of 2012. This will ensure an opportunity for our Level 1 coaches to further their qualifications within this field.
BTF/BTA/ITU Assimilation Courses
As part of our Coaching program we also ran BTF/BTA/ITU Assimilation courses for those who required them on the following dates. These courses allowed Coaches with British Triathlon Federation Qualificaitons to be recognised and certified by Triathlon Ireland in conjunciton with Coaching Ireland.
