Please read here for more information on the goings on about the Triathlon Ireland community this week.
With the race season fast coming to a close, TI are now busy preparing for the next race season and will open race requests for 2013 shortly.
Over the last few weeks, reports having been coming into the TI office regarding the behaviour of a tiny minority of competitors.
In the interest of the safety of competitors, the Wicklow Tri / Amphibian King Aquathon due to be held this Wednesday 15th August in Bray, has been postponed by a week and will be held Wed 22nd August.
Brian Campbell took the spoils ahead of up and coming triathlete Noel Collins at the Tri the Lough Triathlon. Stephen Duncan took the 3rd spot on the podium.
Although the Irish summer has not been anything to write home about, from early morning on the 11th August 2012 it was apparent that the weather Gods were looking down on the 6th annual Caroline Kearney Memorial Triathlon being held as always at Lilliput
Distances were 1.5km swim, 37km cycle followed by a 10km run.
