TI Insurance does not cover you whilst competing in a non-sanctioned event.  All TI Sanctioned events are listed on our Race Calendar. If an event is not listed here, it is not a TI Sanctioned event, therefore you are not covered by our insurance at this race.

WHERE ARE YOU COVERED BY TI INSURANCE?

TI Insurance is valid anywhere worldwide.  This means that if you are training or racing overseas, then you are covered by TI insurance.  However, members are advised to consider the limits of our personal accident cover and if considered necessary take out top up insurance. The TI Policy is only third party and personal accident insurance and does not cover you for travel and so we strongly advise that you take out separate travel insurance to cover cancellations or loss of personal items.

TI insurance cover is intended for those who normally reside in ROI or the 6 counties of NI only (as we an all Ireland sporting body). The worldwide cover refers in the event of a member travelling to specific international events (such as representing Ireland at an ITU/ETU event) or for specifically named training camps.

If you normally reside outside of Ireland, you will need to obtain a race licence/insurance valid for that country on the basis of full time residence there.

WHEN ARE YOU COVERED BY TI INSURANCE?

TI Insurance is only valid during participation and/or training (see above table).

DO YOU NEED ADDITIONAL PERSONAL INSURANCE?

While members receive a minimum level of personal accident cover it is advisable to hold your own Personal Accident Cover which meets your individual requirements.  Members are advised to consider the limits of our personal accident cover and if considered necessary take out top up insurance. The TI Policy is only third party and personal accident insurance and does not cover you for travel and so we strongly advise that you take out separate travel insurance to cover cancellations or loss of personal items.
