Women in Sport - Creating Leaders Seminar

Triathlon Ireland are pleased to announce 'Creating Leaders', a Women in Triathlon event with a specific focus on leadership, roles of responsibility and mentoring. We will also discuss the importance of an active club.

The event takes place on 17th November 2018 between 11am and 1pm at the Gibson Hotel Dublin (the day and location of the Triathlon Ireland Awards Night).‘Creating Leaders’ is open to all women involved in triathlon whether you are an athlete, parent, coach or club member. It will be a great opportunity to meet with other clubs and other women in sport.

workshop style event

This workshop style event will be facilitated by Kurt Lindley. Kurt began work in the sports industry back in 2000. Over the past 18 years he has performed in multiple roles, including working as a Coach Education Officer at British Cycling and a Lecturer in Sport Science, before joining UK Coaching (formally Sports Coach UK) where he spent 11 years developing his skills and interest in the ‘Science of Learning’ (mixing psychology, sociology and neuroscience to create ‘felt’ experiences).

Kurt Lindley

Kurt now runs his own People Development Company (Be More - Learning and Development) offering an eclectic mix of services from ‘Pop up’ Education, Executive Coaching and Mentoring, Storytelling in Learning and ‘Performance Based Learning’ (where learners are ‘in’ the learning experience itself). He has recently worked with British Gymnastics, UK Sport, the FA, Scottish Triathlon, Sport Scotland, Swim England , Sport Northern Ireland and British Athletics.
