McCrystal reports that he had a better than expected swim before putting in his usual phenomenal bike performance, the third quickest cycle of the day;

"I pushed the gears and moved up the field... everything about this course is special. Turning onto Solar Berg for the first time was... wow!"

"I loved the run course...running up the canal was so peaceful. I was confident before this because I've never been running so fast before and I knew I nailed the correct effort on bike. "

Of his new record, Bryan says;

"This is a huge result for me, 8hrs 7 mins - new record... I nearly cried but I told myself to wise up, I'm so happy and proud."
