Triathlon Ireland Welcomes Ian Haseldine to its Board of Directors

Triathlon Ireland would like to welcome Ian Haseldine as the latest member of the organisation's Board of Directors.

Ian has taken up the position of Munster Representative following the retirement of Paddy Quinn.

Triathlon Ireland would like thank Mr Quinn for his service to the sport and wishes Ian every success in his new role.

About Ian Haseldine

Before coming to triathlon, Ian was both a competitive Alpine skier and soccer player at collegial level. He competed in the inaugural Fastnet Triathlon in 2004, and since then has competed in many triathlons and duathlons over the years including Ironman and full distance events, he also competed in the European Age Group Championships.

Ian has been a Triathlon Ireland Technical official since 2007 and for the past three years has been the Munster Technical Official Secretary. He is currently on the Triathlon Ireland Technical Committee and delivers courses for new Technical Officials. Ian has been the chairperson and race director for Schull Triathlon club for the past three years.

Ian has been the Principal of a National School in West Cork for the past 16 years, prior to that he was a school teacher and sports director of a school in America.
