McGlynn 6th at Madrid World Paratriathlon

McGlynn 4th in France

Paratriathlete Aidan McGlynn put in a good performance in his first elite level paratriathlon event. The former Athens Paralympian is looking to qualify for the Paralympic Games in Rio with Sunday’s Madrid World Paratriathlon Event the first stage of the journey.

McGlynn, competing in the PT4 category, emerged from the water in 6th place after a 12:01 750 metre swim. Onto the bike and McGlynn held his own before completing the final 5 kilometre run in 19:03 to finish 6th in a time of 1:16:31.

McGlynn is set to race next in London on May 30th at the fifth round of the World Paratriathlon Series.
