Cork Schools Aquathlon Challenge

Cork Schools Aquathlon Challenge

11 schools, 15 teachers and 180 school children aged 10 and 11 took part in the first ever Cork Schools Aquathlon Challenge on Wednesday 21st October.

The event was held in Gus Healey Pool in Douglas with the support of Cork LSP and Cork City Council. The weather held off and all the children completed the 50m pool swim and 450m forest run.

For many it was their first ever multi-sport event and the smiling faces at the finish said it all.

A big thank you to Cork LSP for their support in running the event. We hope to make this an annual event and there are plans to run a Cork Schools Championships as well as a Munster Schools Championship in the near future.
