Cork man Bryan Keane is the most experienced competitor on the Irish Squad having represented Ireland in XC running and road cycling. Keane first discovered triathlon while working in Australia and quickly rose to prominence after he claimed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in ITU Cup racing in 2009 in the space of 5 weeks.

Following a 7th place finish at the 2010 Sprint World Championships Keane suffered a potentially career ending accident when he was knocked from his bike while out training.

Following 2 years of rehabilitation Keane is back to his best and became the first Irish man to stand on a World Cup podium. He’s risen up the rankings throughout the past 2 seasons and has his sights set on Olympic Qualification

Bryan receives direct athlete funding from the Irish Sports Council. He is a TI brand ambassador for Vodafone and is sponsored by Kinetica, Base2Race and KN.
